Our Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) Program is a highly-coordinated, rapid response to the need for multidisciplinary care for children who have been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for this new COVID-19-related health condition. Montefiore is one of the first in New York City to offer this type of program.
Our World-Renowned Experts and Clinic
The clinic is staffed by world renowned pediatric experts in infectious diseases, rheumatology, Kawasaki disease, cardiology and hematology who work collaboratively with all pediatric subspecialties to ensure that patients recovering from MIS-C receive coordinated care designed to speed their recovery. The clinic is located in the Pediatric Heart Center of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, a patient and family-centered space that welcomes all into a safe and healthy environment.
