Child Life Program
At CHAM, our Child Life Program is dedicated to helping children and families cope with the challenges of hospitalization, illness and medical treatments. Our certified Child Life Specialists use play, education and emotional support to reduce fear, promote healing and create a more positive healthcare experience.

- Medical Play & Education – Helping children understand procedures in a child-friendly way.
- Emotional Support – Providing comfort and coping strategies during hospital stays.
- Therapeutic Play – Encouraging self-expression through play, art and music.

Ronald McDonald House
The Ronald McDonald House Family Room at CHAM offers a calm and comforting space for families of hospitalized children to rest, recharge and find support—just steps away from their child’s bedside. Designed to feel like home, the Family Room provides a quiet retreat where caregivers can take a break while staying close to their loved ones.

- Kitchenette and dining space
- Private shower facilities
- Overnight accommodations

Family Advisory Council
At CHAM, we believe that families are essential partners in care. Our Family Advisory Council brings together parents, caregivers and hospital leaders to collaborate on ways to enhance the patient and family experience.
The council provides valuable insights, feedback and advocacy, helping shape hospital policies, programs and initiatives. By working together, we ensure that every child and family receives the highest-quality family-centered care.
