On October 18t, 2016 the Pediatric Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in collaboration with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) hosted a school nurse diabetes education program at Montefiore New Rochelle. Rebecca Crespi, PNP, CDE and Jeniece Ilkowitz RN, CDE provided diabetes education to local school nurses in attendance and vendors from diabetes technology companies attended to answer questions as well. Each year this successful program reaches members of our community and helps our patients and others get the care they need when they are in school.
