Operation IDD Gene Team Brings Together Physicians, Scientists and Families to Address Rare Genetic Disorders

A new Einstein-Montefiore initiative, “Operation IDD Gene Team,” brings together physicians and research scientists to conduct groundbreaking research that may enhance treatment for children with extremely rare genetic disorders and neurologic diseases for which little information may be known.

Physicians and researchers from Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and our Albert Einstein School of Medicine will present new and innovative research at this year’s Pediatric Academic Societies Meeting (PAS) on May 5–8, 2018, in Toronto. Our specialists will present their pioneering work covering all areas of pediatric medical care, including treating sickle cell anemia, pediatric nephrology, behavioral medicine, adolescent medicine, quality improvement, health equity and social justice. Two CHAM fellows will also be honored with research awards.
