CERC Parenting Workshops

  • 22 May 2016

Parents of children with disabilities gathered at the Rose F. Kennedy Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at Montefiore to attend a series of interactive workshops and educational seminars on topics including behavioral issues, social media use and misuse, how to cope at home, and navigating the health care and school systems.

This is the fourth annual event organized by providers at CERC where clinicians spent extensive time interacting with families and arming them with information regarding their child’s diagnosis that will empower and encourage them to become an advocate and asset to their child’s progress.

The event also gave parents the opportunity to connect with one another, share advice and form a network of support.
