  • Biography

    Personal Biography

    Dr. Oyeku, a general pediatrician and health services researcher, joined The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in 2006. She received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed a pediatric residency at the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Oyeku also completed fellowship training in the Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship program at Children’s Hospital Boston, and received a master’s degree in public health at the Harvard School of Public Health.

    At The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Dr. Oyeku has served as Co-Director of Pediatric Grand Rounds, and at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she has served as representative to the Child Health Oversight Committee of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards consortium. In addition, Dr. Oyeku was recently elected to the national nominating committee of the Academic Pediatrics Association, and she  serves as Project Director and Physician Champion for the National Coordinating Center for the Sickle Cell Treatment Demonstration Program, based at the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality (NICHQ).

    Dr. Oyeku was a recipient of the Dean’s Award for Community Service from Harvard Medical School. She is a member of several professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Academic Pediatrics Association.
