Personal Biography
Matthew Danzig, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Urology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Montefiore Einstein. A fellowship-trained pediatric urologist, Dr. Danzig treats congenital and functional problems of the genitourinary tract in children of all ages. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and genitourinary reconstruction.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University, Dr. Danzig earned his medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2015. He interned at the University of Michigan before completing a four-year urology residency at the University of Colorado in 2020, followed by a Pediatric Urology Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2022.
Dr. Danzig’s research interests include medical education and surgical training in pediatric urology. His research in the field of pediatric urology and other topics in urology has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings. He is a member of the American Urological Association.
