The REACT team at CHAM includes a multidisciplinary team of providers to ensure that patients and their families receive comprehensive support after cancer treatment. The team is led by Dr. Leanne Ostrodka, a pediatric oncologist with expertise in the late side effects of anti-cancer treatment in childhood. Additional members of the team include nurse practitioner Siobhan Polese, social workers Rigoberto Tomala and Denise Velazquez, and Child Life Specialist Talia Haviv. The pediatric cardiology division at CHAM also participates in helping to screen and treat patients who may have developed heart problems as a result of their cancer treatment.
