Like the New York Yankees, CHAM's Butler Child Advocacy Center is known around the world as a winning team—in our case, for the detection, treatment, and prevention of child abuse and domestic violence. The first hospital-based Child Advocacy Center in the New York Metropolitan area, we provide emergency care and support to young victims of abuse and neglect, crisis counseling to children and families, and extended support until everyone recovers.
Our staff is one of the best in the world at spotting what are—and aren't—the signs of child abuse. We take the time to get to know our patients and understand their day-to-day lives, and help get any ongoing threats under control. The full resources of our leading children's hospital help us deliver effective, immediate treatment for physical trauma, and our family-centered approach helps everyone, including parents, siblings, and other caregivers, work together for recovery, and deal with day-to-day issues in a positive way.
