Personal Biography
Yanki K. Okuducu, MD, is an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Okuducu’s clinical practice focuses on asthma, interstitial lung disease and involvement of the pulmonary system in rheumatologic diseases. He is dedicated to enhancing care through multidisciplinary approaches, optimizing disease management in diverse populations and contributing to medical education through bedside teaching and mentorship.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine at Cukurova University School of Medicine in Adana, Turkey, in 2017, Dr. Okuducu moved to the United States to continue his medical training. He completed his pediatric residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in 2022, followed by a pediatric pulmonary fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2025.
Dr. Okuducu’s research focuses on pediatric asthma management and quality improvement initiatives, including the integration of patient-reported outcome measures into routine care. He also investigates genetic predispositions to lung injury, seeking to advance translational knowledge and improve outcomes for children with chronic respiratory disease. His work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, poster presentations and exhibits presented at professional meetings.
Dr. Okuducu is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
