Personal Biography
Michele C. Laverdiere, MD, is an attending physician at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore Einstein, Medical Director at the Children's Evaluation & Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Laverdiere’s clinical interests include the care of developmental and behavioral concerns in children from birth to adolescence, with chronic medical conditions, autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental delays and language disorders.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 2003, Dr. Laverdiere attended New York University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2007. She began her postgraduate training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medicine, completing her pediatric internship in 2008 and her pediatric residency in 2010. In 2015, she completed a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics at CERC at Montefiore Einstein and the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein.
Dr. Laverdiere’s research focuses on autism spectrum disorder. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and platform presentations.
Dr. Laverdiere is board certified in General Pediatrics and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
