Personal Biography
Faith-Andrea Ikalina, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Ikalina treats all rheumatologic conditions. She has a particular interest in helping young adults with new diagnoses or childhood-onset rheumatic diseases successfully transition to adult rheumatology care and improve their self-management skills.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biology from Seton Hall University in 2012, Dr. Ikalina earned her Doctor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2017. She then completed a combined internal medicine-pediatrics residency at the University of Massachusetts-Baystate Medical Center, followed by a combined adult and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at Montefiore Einstein in 2025.
Dr. Ikalina’s research aligns with her clinical focus. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed publications, invited presentations, posters and abstracts.
Dr. Ikalina is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Rheumatology, the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance and the American Academy of Pediatrics, among others. In 2023, Dr. Ikalina received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Medical Student Teaching from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
