The Umbrella Program, which serves LGBTQ+ youth and families at the Montefiore Adolescent and Youth Sexual-Health Clinic (MAYS), provides comprehensive transgender and gender non-conforming care. Services include medical care, mental health counseling, and supportive services, to youth ages 13-24, under the direction of Michelle Collins-Ogle, MD, FAAP, FPIDS, AAHIVS. The team includes trans-affirming medical, nursing, social work, and psychiatric providers. Individuals can receive gender-affirming hormone care, as well as mental health assessment, case management, referrals for surgical care, and support via individual or group counseling. Family counseling and support is also available. The Umbrella Program at MAYS Clinic is based at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx.
