Personal Biography
Laura A. Conrad, DO, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM), and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Conrad specializes in the treatment of children with respiratory disorders and has a particular interest in pediatric asthma.
In 2013, Dr. Conrad received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at CHAM in 2016 and most recently went on to complete a postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Conrad’s interest in asthma extends to her research endeavors, where she has focused on pediatric asthma, specifically in urban communities where there is a high asthma burden. Her research during fellowship focused on a predictive model of asthma looking at autonomic dysregulation and future wheeze. She has had her work published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
Dr. Conrad is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Thoracic Society.
