OUR EXPERTISE

The Division of Orthopedics at CHAM provides care for patients with the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions. We continue to garner both national and international attention for our innovative research and leading-edge approaches to treating deformities of the limbs and growing spines.

No condition is too simple or complex. Whether your child (we treat children from birth to age 21) has sprained an ankle, broken a wrist or has a complex musculoskeletal disorder, our goal is to return them to normal activities and to improve function and quality of life.

The hallmark of our program is a coordinated, comprehensive approach that brings all the rich resources within CHAM together. This means you can rest assured that a team of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals are working to make your family and your child its central focus.

RESEARCH

MMG_Astor_Ave_2013_05-821_316x210Orthopedic surgeons at CHAM are leading surgical innovations in scoliosis treatment using advanced image guidance technologies and bloodless techniques. Our orthopedics team has, for example, used a single posterior incision and spinal osteotomies to correct a curve of greater than 90 degrees in a 10-year-old girl. Within three months of the six-house surgery, she was enjoying a normal, active childhood.
