    • In addition to Pediatric Hospital Medicine, her interests at Montefiore and Einstein focus on medical education across the continuum of learners. For first-year Einstein medical students, she leads weekly small group sessions during their Introduction to Clinical Medicine course. For practicing hospitalists, she co-chairs the NYC PHM Forum Education Committee to implement annual CME conferences in the region. Her recent research focuses on teaching clinical reasoning and evaluating educational interventions to improve students’ summary statements. Her other research area includes identifying developmental delays in hospitalized children. Dr. Rhim also has an interest in medical informatics and serves as a member of the Montefiore Clinical Information Services Clinical Oversight Committee. She is involved in the development of electronic inpatient documentation for the Department of Pediatrics.

    Personal Biography

    Dr. Rhim received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine after earning her bachelor’s at Brown University. She obtained a master’s in public health from Columbia University and was a pediatric intern and resident at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Before joining the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at Montefiore in 2010, she was a pediatric hospitalist and Director of the Pediatric Inpatient Service at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY, where she was honored for excellence in teaching. She is a graduate of the APA Educational Scholars Program and received a certificate of excellence in educational scholarship for her work on Objective Structured Clinical Exercises and its role in evaluating third-year medical students’ professionalism and communication skills.
