  • Biography

    Personal Biography

    Dr. Campbell focuses on perinatal care quality improvement, perinatal health services delivery, psychosocial support interventions for mothers of premature babies, perinatal ethics, neonatal supportive (palliative) care and collaborative decision-making, outcomes for very low birth weight infants. Dr. Campbell is a member of the Academic Pediatric Society and a fellow at the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She has served as a member of Montefiore’s Infant Bioethics Review Committee and plays an active role in perinatal activities at the city, state and national levels, serving in various leadership roles at the American Academy of Pediatrics, the New York State Association of Regional Perinatal Programs and Networks, the NYC Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council, the Greater New York March of Dimes Bioethics Advisory Workgroup. Dr. Campbell is a member of the Neonatal Expert Workgroup for the NYS Department of Health (NYS DOH) Perinatal Quality Collaborative and serves on the NYS DOH Quality Advisory Committee and the New York State Palliative Care Education and Training Council. Dr. Campbell is the recipient of the 2000 Bronx Perinatal Consortium Distinguished Clinical Care Award, the 2005 New York State Perinatal Association L. Stanley James Award, the 2009 National Perinatal Association Stan Graven Award and 2015 Physician Honoree of the Montefiore Medical Center Staff and Alumni Association. She has been recognized by Castle Connolly and the New York Magazine in their lists of Best Doctors.
