The Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics won one of the Best paper awards at the AAP Annual National Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco, CA, October 22-25, 2016. The paper lead by Jaime Gomez, MD, evaluated alignment of the lumbar spine following adolescent idiopathic scoliosis surgery. The results of the research will help spine surgeons improve their preoperative planning when performing long scoliosis fusion surgery.
